Microsoft is internally testing new search engine called Kumo. Last month there were rumors about kumo.com but now it is confirmed that Microsoft is planning to launch their new search engine.
Microsoft search executive Satya Nadella wrote in his mail “We are launching a new test program called kumo.com for employees to try and provide feedback. Kumo.com exists only inside the corporate network, and in order to get enough feedback we will be redirecting internal live.com traffic over to the test site in the coming days. Kumo is the codename we have chosen for the internal test.”
No need to say, Microsoft is working hard to beat Google and Yahoo in search.
I was analyzing traffic report of OfficeLivePages.com and found that there was some traffic from Kumo.com. Here is screen shot of report.
When I clicked on http://kumo.com/search, it shows blank page. Looks like this is the url Microsoft using for internal test.
